The 16618 is old-school gold Submariner. Full 18k Gelbgold Gehäuse and Armband, deep blau Zifferblatt, and - this is key - the classic aluminum Lünette rather than ceramic. Collectors dig that vintage look.

Unlike the newer models, the Lünetteneinsatz here is aluminum with a gold 60-minute scale. It has a different character than ceramic - some would say more charm. The Lünette still only rotates counterclockwise for safe dive timing.

The Oyster Armband in solid gold comes with the Fliplock extension - predecessor to today's Glidelock. With 300m Wasserdichtigkeit and the Triplock Krone, you've got a real professional Taucheruhr underneath all that gold.
